About Edisto
The Olive is located near the end of Pompano, a quiet, dead-end road a half block from the beach. The house is set back from the street and surrounded by palmettos and live oaks. The Olive offers a private, peaceful setting with easy access to the beach and amenities.
Edisto Beach is one of America’s last family beaches. There are no hotels on the island, and the beaches are wonderful for children and families. It is also home to the Edisto Beach State Park, providing serene beach walks backed by sand dunes and maritime forest. Edisto Beach joins the Ashepoo, Combahee, Edisto (ACE) Basin, a 217,000 acre coastal nature preserve — an ideal location for nature lovers, fishers and bird-watchers.
Edisto Beach is at the tip of Edisto Island, which is home to several plantations and dirt roads stretched out under live oaks, rare remnants of the coastal South. From nature to history, sand and shells to seafood and sips, Edisto Beach has something for everyone.
